Powered Slitter
The
powered slitter is an upgrade to the standard hand slitter included on Hayes
Rollformer infeeds, it adds a motor and chain drive system to remove the need for
operator input to slit the coil when changing coil’s or finishing an order.
The slitter will operate automatically on completion of an order using Hayes
Smart-cut or can be operated manually from the operator console. The powered
slitter drive unit is fully guarded and utilizes the same D2 hardened steel
knives as the hand slitter.
