The Hayes Purlin Stacker is an automatic stacking machine designed to handle C & Z purlins using a magnetic lifting beam and robotic arms to pick and pack the purlins from the Purlin Mill run out table. Attached to each end of the lifting beam are industrial robots. This allows the purlins to be picked up and rotated as required and placed the on the stacking conveyor.
The operator is protected from the Stacking Machine by a combination of fixed barrier guards and light curtains. This allows the Stacking Machine to continue operation while the operator performs the offline strapping.
