The Hayes Coil Carousel is designed to take the hassle out of coil changing. The Hayes carousel type uncoiler is able to hold up to eight different coils, allowing the rapid change of coil to cater for a range of colours and thicknesses.
The coil required is selected on the touch screen controller and the carousel assembly automatically rotates to place this coil into position. This greatly reduces the manufacturing downtime by enabling fast coil changeover times. The mandrel is driven to allow for operation with high speed lines.

- Handles coil sizes up to 1000Kg x 200mm wide
- Line speeds of 40 meters per minute (typical)
- Less than 40 seconds to change over one position
- Mandrel type is 4 palm plates with manual linkage
- 2 extension spiders per mandrel provided for large diameter coils
- Frame and carousel assembly fabricated from box section steel
- Two (2) locking pins to secure the carousel for safety with one pin engaged at all times
- Hydraulically actuated linkage arm to rotate the carousel assembly
- Spring loaded steel lifting hook with 1000Kg capacity
- Touch screen interface to allow coil selection and programming via PLC
- Perimeter of mandrel driven via rubber tyre and electric gear motor
- Loop control arm to vary pay-off speed of coil
