Close Coupled Uncoiler

The Hayes Close Coupled Uncoiler (CCU) is a revolutionary uncoiling system that reduces the minimum distance between the Uncoiler and the Rollformer. Traditional uncoiler required up to 5m of space between the uncoiler and the rollformer. The Close Coupled Uncoiler allows automatic control of the payoff speed eliminating the need for the material buffer between the Uncoiler and the Rollformer. The payoff of material from the Uncoiler controls the speed of the rollformer, reversing the traditional roles.

• Reduced floor space - no need for a 5m loop
• Improved safety - no need to fence or elaborate guarding of that 5m-loop area
• Simpler and cheaper ‘Hands Free’ - instead of very elaborate systems to get the coil from the uncoiler to the rollformer without human intervention, we have an extremely simple ‘flap’ system that mounts off the infeed
