Hayes is seeking to recruit motivated people to join our existing dynamic engineering workshop teams based in our Rotorua manufacturing facility.

Electrical Design and Commissioning Opportunity

 
Opportunity for engineer with experience in design, building and commissioning of machine controls and systems.
 
Main responsibilities include:

  • Design, documentation and commissioning of machine control systems.
  • Hands on build and fault finding of machines as necessary to understand issues and meet deadlines.


The person we seek:

  • Has a current NZ EWRB Registration, either as an electrician preferably with NDE level 5 or 6 (or NZCE) or as an engineer with degree qualification
  • At least 3 years post qualification experience with design of controls for machinery.
  • Has good knowledge of application of PLC, HMI and variable speed drives – PLC programming not required, but an advantage. 
  • Has proven analytical approach in design and commissioning. Skills in fault finding and problem solving applied during commissioning.
  •  Is a team player, with good communication skills, and a mechanical aptitude to contribute to machine commissioning and product development.
  • Motivation to learn and develop their own career and our product range.

CNC Machinist Required


Are you a competent Machinist with experience in the operation of CNC Turning & Milling equipment.

Do you want to work in a challenging and interesting, specialist-engineering environment?

We are seeking to recruit a motivated individual to join our existing dynamic engineering machine shop team. Work would primarily involve the machining of new components to support our production needs based in our Rotorua manufacturing facility.
